It’s Senior Session Season! Oh I mean Fall 🙂 

Here we go! We are diving in deep into Fall! With Fall comes Senior Sessions! 

Scented candles, Fall flannels, pumpkins on the porch and I see those leaves changing! Fall always makes my heart happy! The cooler days, the colors, the fires in the fire pits and pumpkins everywhere! I’m soaking it all up and I hope you are as well!

The other thing that comes with Fall is the rush of Senior Sessions – Those who would like to submit a photo to the yearbook are scrambling to schedule sessions and get their pictures delivered back to them before the deadline. I have had many phone calls this week and so far we have been able to squeeze everyone in. I am fully committed to delivering the pictures on time and won’t book anything I can’t deliver in time. The hustle and bustle of this time of year as well as the many new faces I meet are other reasons I love this time of year.

Senior Session -Presley – Class of 2022 Prairie HS

After watching it rain all day the day of Presley’s session it cleared off at just the right time for us to enjoy some amazing light for her session!
We met at PHS for her first look with her Senior shirt and their awesome mural.
We headed to WSU for her next two looks.
As the sun shone through the dripping trees we finished with some beautiful images.

1st Location: Prairie HS – Mural Wall

2nd Location: WSU – The Fall colors are just starting! Along with rustic wood fencing and green fields I love this location for Fall shoots!

Senior Session – Josh M – Class of 2022 ITech

I’ve had the opportunity to photograph Josh a few times throughout the years. I really appreciate the opportunity to become the “family photographer”. Josh has grown up and I really enjoyed talking with him about how his Senior year is going and what his future plans may be. 

We had a gorgeous evening to walk around Ft. Vancouver.

Location: Ft. Vancouver – Always one of my favorite locations. Tons of variety for backgrounds – from the Fort, to old Officers buildings and grassy fields. 

Madison – Class of 2022 – BGHS

One of the reasons I love Senior Sessions is because I get to meet the coolest most diverse group of people! I met Madison when she came by the studio to talk about her Senior Session. One of the things we talked about were possible locations for her Senior session. Madison had shared that she was artsy and showed me some of her amazing work. That sparked an idea I had. A few weeks earlier I had shared a location in Portland where there is a parking garage filled with street art asking if anyone would be interested in shooting there. When I showed Madison the pictures from my phone and she fell in love with it! I was thrilled! It is a special kind of high for me to shoot in new locations. I love the challenge of capturing a new environment. 

We had a blast! We used two different locations for her session. I called Madison a chameleon because of her different looks. I love how she changed things up during her shoot. For each Senior Session you can have up to 3 looks. This allowed Madison to show some of her different sides. 

I’m really excited to have another senior session scheduled there soon!

Location: Portland – The Blonde Dumbbell Building (yep that is really the name). I loved this area not just for the colorful building but the area around it offered some really cool backdrops as well. We also drove to the parking garage full of street art which is only 5 min away. 

Why I like it: I think this is the perfect location for those who are artistic, edgy, or just really enjoy the urban look. Lots of variety in a small area. 

Senior Session – Livia – Class of 2022 – Hockinson HS

Livia just has a happy bubbly spirit. Her mom and BF came along for the shoot and we all enjoyed walking around and getting to know each other during Livia’s session. With hazy skies we had beautiful light along with the stunning Livia, last Monday’s session was just perfect! I am so thankful we were able to make this last minute booking work! 

Location: WSU – this campus is so big and varied. As a result, even though I shoot her often there is a wide variety of areas to work in.

This past week these two had birthdays! It’s not as much fun to celebrate when we are apart! I’m just so thankful for both of them! Happy Birthday!
