Happy New Year, family and friends,
As we wrap up another year and look forward to what 2026 holds, I’d like to say Thank you! I look forward to a happy new year, and I like to spend some time reflecting back on this past year. Simply put, all that keeps me going is those who support me. It can be as simple as sharing my information with someone who is looking for a photographer or sharing my work. The number one way people find me is through you! Thank you to those who have trusted me to be your photographer this last year. I have enjoyed a wide variety of sessions this past year. They include maternity, family photography, wedding, graduates, engagements, anniversaries, cheer teams, sports teams, headshots, cake smashes, and milestone birthdays.
My job offers so much variety and I love it! Moving forward, I honestly have no idea what 2026 will offer me. I am hopeful and optimistic. I look forward to helping lots of people with their photography needs for the new year. My final session this year was in the family photography category.
Hall Family 2025

The beautiful Hall family contacted me for the first time in 2018. George and his beautiful wife Jan, live in Battle Ground. They were excited because their family would be home for the holidays. They wondered if I was available the day after Christmas to come to their home and photograph everyone.
They have 3 adult children. All are married with their own families. Their daughter would be traveling in from Seattle. A son from Washington DC and their third son would be traveling in from the UK!
I love these types of sessions. As I write this, I am anxiously awaiting the arrival of my son and his wife. They have moved to Pennsylvania. We will be celebrating our own Christmas today Jan 1. Family time is so precious!
I have had the opportunity to meet with them several more times over these years. Sometimes at their beautiful home and twice now here at the studio.
The outdoor pictures below are from our first session in 2018. The studio images are from this past week. It is so beautiful to see a family grow!
SFPNEWS
As we move forward this new year you may be trying to minimize. I get overwhelmed with my email inbox, unwanted text messages and spam phone calls. I know I am not alone in this. On my to-do list for January 2026 is to go through and delete/unsubscribe to the emails I get relentlessly from some companies. Just last night I walked out of a store because they refused to let me purchase an item without “signing up”.
Having said that, if you are interested in a monthly recap of what has happened here at SFP here is a link to sign up. I only send and email once per month (anyone else get multiple emails from Macy’s a day!!!!) These emails are meant to inform you of what is going on, what has happened and opportunities in the future. These are especially helpful for those who want to stay informed and are not on social media.

The next edition always comes out on the first of each month. Sign up today to receive your January edition Thursday morning.
I appreciate each of you! Thanks for stopping by,
Shelly
