Photography with SFP -Fall Family Mini Sessions
Yes, this little advertisement will be popping up until all of my time slots are filled. I want to be sure everyone has had the opportunity to consider a mini session from SFP this year. Photography is what I do and one of the reasons I put so much into it I absolutely love the variety! Sure there are times, like now when it’s mostly Seniors but even then there is a ton of variety! With all the focus on Senior Sessions I have only had a few openings for Family Sessions. So decided to reserve two dates just for families!
Who are mini sessions for?
- Families who value quality photographs of themselves
- People who are looking for an opportunity to be photographed with those they love
- People who love an opportunity to have gorgeous backgrounds for those portraits
- People who don’t have the time or funds for a full session
- People who appreciate a fast paced, fun photo shoot in gorgeous locations.
- Any combination of friends, family or furry friends you want to come up with.
Maybe you have your own reasons? Either way this photographer would love to help you out! Click this link to read all the details of each session, then decide which works best for you and then if you’d like you can sign up right then online!

Owen B – Class of 2022
The campus of WSU was chosen for Owen’s Senior Session. Shortly after meeting Owen mentioned that he climbs and in fact climbs regularly with Caleb who I photographed earlier in the month. We then had a good time chatting about climbing and a future climbing trip he has planned with his family. Photography gives me the opportunity to meet so many different people. I love it!
Nicole – Branding Session Photography
Nicole is an author and public speaker who is currently working on publishing a booklet this month. She needed a photographer that would work with her so she would have a varied collection of portraits suitable for her website and publications. The locations she chose were McMennamins Edgefield and the Vancouver waterfront areas.
Nicole shared with me that as she looked online for a photographer to help her she really liked my photography and felt that it stood out compared to the other sites she looked at. Naturally that made my day!
We had a good time during the shoot getting to know each other. Nicole is a very encouraging soul. If you are interested in learning more here is a link to her website https://thesevencandles.com/media/
Deal/McMillen Family Session
This is the fourth year that I have been invited out to the family farm for a photo session. Photography not only gives me the opportunity to meet new people, if I’m really lucky I get to form a lasting relationship with them!
I always look forward to seeing this beautiful family! I will admit it’s a challenge to remember all of the kids names but thankfully they laugh with me and give me a break! Last year I brought, chairs and ladders but this year we just brought one bench and kept things simple. focusing on the families and the beautiful scenery at the farm. The oldest granddaughter started college this year but we were able to schedule when she was home. Having kids grow up usually makes us all value those photos even more!
Victoria Class of 2022
Photography can be so varied. Same photographer different subjects results in some vary different looks. I strive to match each clients style. That is why discussing locations and personal interests are so important!
Victoria wanted an elegant look for her Senior Session. We had the perfect background for her session and I love what she choose to wear. Victoria is already leading out in her community and has an interest in politics. I have no doubt she will go far!
Dahl Family Session
I have also had the opportunity to photograph this family several times. We met down at Washougal Riverfront Park. I was disappointed to see construction along a big section of the path but we still managed to find beautiful backdrops for this sweet family’s session. This year for the first time their furry family member joined us. Our first session was a few years back in the Camas Lily fields. It was gorgeous! Mason – Class of 2022 BGHS
This week found me doing some worrying over the weather. With shoots every single night and rain scheduled for most of them I was anxious that I wouldn’t be able to get all of my scheduled shoots in. You would think that eventually I would learn that worrying doesn’t solve a thing. After a quick consultations with my clients the decision was made to go for it! And here are the results. Mason’s mom confided that he wasn’t super excited about having his pictures taken but he was such a good sport and I think actually enjoyed himself a bit!
With photography there is a lot I like to control (locations, timing, backgrounds, posing, etc) but I can’t control the weather. Fortunately it always works out!
Down Time
During this time of year I am happily rarely without my camera. But honestly, I do need a break here and there and I got one last weekend. We visited the cutest pumpkin patch up in Woodland https://avidgardener.webs.com/ I absolutely loved it! This was a new to me pumpkin patch and I fell in love with the cute trucks, the great corn maze (finished in 30 min thanks to the guys!) and the gourd tunnel trellis! The prices were really reasonable and it just had a great vibe. Those who know me well know that I dream of being a pumpkin farmer one day…
I thought I had a Sunday morning shoot but it turns out I had the date wrong so Jeff and I took advantage of that and headed to Planet Granite for some climbing. This is a much larger gym than the one I usually climb in. I like to visit there every once in awhile for the variety. We climbed until our hands didn’t work anymore so it was a good time! Thanks for stopping by!
