Hey Friends! Happy Thursday to you!

What I’m Doing

I’m so thankful to be back to the land of the living! While you were all (hopefully) enjoying the amazing sunny weekend I fell violently ill. When I say violent, I’m not sure being beat up in a dark alley would have been any kinder to what happened. I went to bed Friday night feeling good, not a care in the world. I was looking forward to the weekend plans and was ready to enjoy every minute of sunshine! Then 1 AM came and it was clear my body had other plans…. Let’s just say what came next tested the limits of love and commitment to our marriage. It wasn’t pretty and did include a few firsts for me, like passing out while on the commode…

Just because Friday night was so fun Jeff decided to give it a try Saturday night. I have to say while the man was sick he just didn’t give it his all like I did. While he fully embraced his sickness on Sunday I tried to bounce back. Needless to say my body once again had other plans. Which apparently required IV fluids on Tuesday. I have to say that seems to have done the trick.

While I tested negative for the flu, and they checked all my vital organs, which appear to be healthy, the diagnosis was stomach virus.  So while I admit to begging Jeff to just put me out of my misery by smothering me I am thankful to see we have another sunny weekend in the forecast which I hope to take better advantage of!

What I’m Photographing

Today in the studio I just finished a headshot session. This is an excellent time to have your professional picture taken or updated. My Professional Headshot sessions are quick, painless and fun.

I also just received an album today. I ordered it for the studio so I would have an example on hand. Its exciting and hard to hand over these gorgeous albums to their new owners. I love that they have their gorgeous pictures and in such a way that they can easily share and enjoy them. But I don’t get to enjoy them anymore! So last week I designed and ordered an album of one of my favorite Fall Family Sessions from last year (well they are all my favorite  😀 ) just to have on hand in the studio.

What I’m Reading

I Gave “Where the Crawdads Sing”5 stars. My next pick was “Less”. It wasn’t what I expected and after 50 pages I gave up. I rarely give up on a book but when I do I don’t worry about it too much. There are so many books out there for me to read and I don’t want to waste my time on something I’m just not enjoying. There were a few things about the story that weren’t clicking with me and the writing style I found really challenging. One of the biggest stumbling blocks for me was his name. Arthur Less. The author kept referring him to Less in the book which I would read as less (not more) and kept tripping up on the fact that was his name. So I’m now reading and officially hooked on “The Huntress” – I’m predicting 5 stars already.

What My Current Favorite Is

Sleep, Zofran and Gatorade.

Have you seen the forecast!!!

Goal Check

Zippity do dah…. There’s always next week! My biggest accomplishment has been surviving this week!  😉 One step at a time.

Thanks for stopping by friends!

Shelly
