Hello Fall 2021 – So nice to see you!
Hello Fall! Yesterday was the first day of Fall – yes, it’s finally here! As I drove around this past weekend I saw more and more evidence that Fall of 2021 will be gorgeous! While I have loved our many, many days of sunshine I found this past weekends rain storms so refreshing!
I am so excited to see those Fall colors peaking through the green leaves! The golden grasses and the pumpkins turning orange in the fields! I love this time of year!
Emma – Class of 2022 – Skyview High School
Several years ago Emma lived next door to my nieces. She and my oldest niece became friends. They have each moved and now live in different states. While I’ve seen my niece grow up I hadn’t seen Emma since she was a little girl. I was thrilled when they reached out to me to do her Senior portraits!
It was really fun to meet up again and learn about the beautiful young woman she has grown into. This girl is full of life and she just trusted me and had fun during her shoot! I love her energy!
Location: Ft Vancouver – Emma choose this location because she loves the strong identity this place has to the area she grew up in.
Chuck and Shelley say “I DO”
It was way back in the Spring that I sat down with Shelley to discuss her wedding plans and talk about photographing their big day. We mapped out a plan for engagements session and wedding day. Their engagement session was on a cool and gorgeous day at Cape Horn. The very location where Chuck proposed to her. We touched base a few times this Summer a week before the wedding we walked the venue and then the big day finally arrived! The weather was perfect, the bride and groom were happy, and you could just feel the love and happiness. You really could, I’m not being mushy (OK maybe a little). It’s really special to be able to be part of something so beautiful!
I am still working on this gallery and I just keep catching myself smiling as I go through the pictures. I can’t wait to deliver them!
They decided to have their guests toss lavender towards them as they walked down the isle! I love this approach! It seems like the perfect time to celebrate and it always makes for fun pictures.
Location: Jacquot Farm and Vineyards in Hockinson WA
https://www.facebook.com/jacquotfarmandvineyard While I didn’t deal directly with the venue I did enjoy photographing there. It is a beautiful location! The weather was perfect and there was a lot of smiling happening!
I thought this would be my final wedding this year but one more has popped up! Stay tuned!
Braden – Class of 2022 – ITech
Location: WSU campus
Braden is a Senior at the ITech school adjacent to the WSU campus. He wanted to include his dirt bike for some of the pictures and this location worked out beautifully. We parked in the small parking lot right next to the field and just rolled the bike into the grass for some pictures.
But before we got his bike out we spent some time walking around campus for the resto of his shots. Braden and I met several years ago when he was in grade school and had an interest in photography. It was fun to walk around chatting about what interests him now (commercial airline pilot, loves Photoshop and riding his motorcycle in the sand). It didn’t take long to figure out this guy is super smart and going places!
What’s Next during Fall of 2021?
Oh my goodness I’m so thankful for Fall and all it’s business! The next few days are packed and October is filling up! I will be up at Moulton Falls this afternoon then I have headshots, Seniors (one rock climbing!) and a proposal session just in the next few days. Bring it all on!
Thanks for stopping by!
Shelly
