Class of 2021 – It’s your year
As we approach an uncertain school year for the Class of 2021, one thing is certain – Seniors will be graduating and that is something to celebrate! Last week I meet with a 2021 Senior and her mom. They commented that while this school year is uncertain and there will be changes, the one thing that they could do for sure was have a Senior Session! That made me feel amazing! That I could help this years Class of 2021 feel like they aren’t missing out on all the “normal” experiences is very exciting for me.
I am thrilled to be able to help the Class of 2021 feel excited about their upcoming year. Right now I am booking late Summer and into the Fall. If you know a Senior that should have portraits taken to honor their achievements please send them my way. Now is absolutely the time to book!
Below I will describe the types of Senior Sessions I offer – Bottom line, I want a session that celebrates the Senior – personality, interests, passions, pets and all!
Adventure – Beach, Mountains, Gorge
Perhaps you love skiing, biking, fly fishing, 4-wheeling, exploring waterfalls and mountain tops – This is the session for you.
I have happily stood on snowy mountains, in mountain streams and on boats as I’ve captured people doing what they love best. If you know of, or are, a Senior with an active lifestyle this is the session for you. I would love to sit down and talk about your passion and plan a session that shows you having the time of your life.
Possible locations – The Columbia River Gorge – various trails and waterfalls. Star Mountain – amazing wildflowers and breathtaking views. The Coast – rocky beaches, sandy beaches, trails up high above the beaches or in the water, Mt. St Helens – trails, streams and views. Your favorite lake. There is no limit. Have a favorite location outside of the PDX/Van area? Let’s talk!
Classic – Urban
Perhaps you love of the more classic Senior portrait sessions and you love the city. I know of so many cool spots with varied backgrounds. Brick, boardwalks, graffiti, parks, steel, wood, etc. So much variety. Urban sessions are some of my favorite! There are lots of options between Vancouver and various neighborhoods in PDX.
Some of my favorites – The Pearl District, Downtown Vancouver and the new Waterfront area. Mississippi Ave, Alberta Avenue, etc – there are many really fun neighborhoods in the PDX area which provide really unique backdrops. Perhaps you love coffee or donuts or sushi? We can do a shoot highlighting your favorites!
Classic – Country
Maybe you love nature. Tall grasses, gorgeous trees, cool streams. Thankfully we live in the beautiful NW and there are so many options! This may even include your own yard. Many of my sessions have been done at people’s homes. There are so many parks and rivers in our area providing a ton of options. Just yesterday I toured a local farm with a gorgeous field of Sunflowers – which would be an awesome location for a Senior Session!
Ideas – Campus of WSU – stream, tall grasses, wildflowers, bridge and boardwalks. Lucia Falls – waterfalls, trees, grass, rocks. Lacamas Lake – Gorgeous wildflowers, rocks and old growth cedar trees.
Class of 2021 be Creative – The Sky is the limit!
If you have an idea I want to hear it! My number one goal is that you have fun while having a session that is all about you. Do you want to include your BFF, your dog, your horse, your car? Do you want pictures of you water skiing, hiking, creating? Let’s talk.
Weekend Slots are very limited (but I still have some). I have more availability during the week. Contact me ASAP so we can begin planning your Senior Session today.
