Lately I’ve been contemplating how the road of life just never seems to go exactly where you thought it would. At least mine hasn’t… One of the awesome unexpected turns is finding a new friendship with an old friend from way back in the day. Denise and I went to high school together and while we weren’t enemies we weren’t buddies either. Flash forward 15,20,30, (oh who’s counting!) years and we are enjoying a wonderful friendship  😉  I had the opportunity to photograph her gorgeous, incredibly photogenic family this week and it was so much fun!

Another way life has changed is the fact that I am no longer teaching – My entire adult life I have been going to school to become a teacher – or further my eduction- a teacher or the mother of students and for some of the time I was all three. So when the school year began this year it was the first time I found myself none of the above. I have realized I am suddenly outside a very tight knit community where everyone is on the same schedule – the school schedule – which rules all their lives and ensures everyone ends up at the same place at the same time. I am no longer part of that schedule… It is an adjustment! Thankfully photography is keeping me very busy! Also, I am thankful that I have the opportunity to pursue something I am passionate about! I realize I would not be doing that if life had gone the way I thought it would.  😉

To clarify my boys (men) will be in college this year but it’s just not the same…

When I hear/read/see the word {supplies} I automatically think pens, paper, markers, notebooks, etc.  I LOVE school supplies…So I was frustrated all day with the photo prompt and I didn’t know what to shoot. I then realized there are {supplies} for EVERYTHING including dinner! My husband sliced this lovely heart shaped tomato that grew in our garden and it became my photo of the day!

Thanks for stopping by! I appreciate it!
