Photography Conference 2023 Nashville Here I Come

So how is 2023 going for you so far? This is the time of year for photography conferences because it is generally considered our slow time.  7 years ago I attended my first, and so far only, photography conference. I learned a ton but felt a bit overwhelmed. I’ve mentioned before how it is challenging for me to be a solo business owner. I wish I had someone to go the conference with.  However, being on my own may help me concentrate better! 

I am headed to the PPA conference. Professional Photographers of America are holding their annual conference at the Opryland hotel in Nashville, Tn. I fly out next week for 5 days. As an added bonus I will be able to stay with family and visit with them.

We were living in Nashville when our youngest Tyler was born. Our family lived there for two years before we finally moved back to the PNW. I’ve only been back once or twice in the 24 years since moving home. I don’t plan on seeing much of Nashville since I will be in classes most of the time.

Professional Head Shots

This week I am headed to a CPA firm to photograph their team. While I often use my studio for headshots when multiple people from the same company are needing photographs I do offer to come to them. I have a portable backdrop and everything else needed to work on site. 

I really enjoy working with teams and traveling to offices is always a good workout for me! 🙂 

Class of 2023 –  This is your year!

It has finally arrived! For some of you the wait for 2023 has been long. Perhaps after your children were born you calculated the year they would graduate from high school and it just sounded like a futuristic movie! For others you have been excited about this year and can’t wait to finally graduate! 

Either way it’s happening! Pop and Circumstance will be playing throughout the country as this years graduates proudly march down the aisles! 

I am currently booking Spring sessions for the Class of 2023.   While Fall is crazy busy (hint, hint Class of 2024) Spring is a very popular time for Senior Sessions as well. If you would still like to have a Senior Session for the Class of 2023 let’s get it scheduled.

If you have someone who will be graduating in 2024 now is an excellent time to begin planning for those sessions as well.
