Tammie and Don – True Love
Last weekend I met these two lovely people. I usually have the opportunity to meet my couples before the actual wedding day but it didn’t work out that way this time. It was clear they are very much in love and very grateful to have found their way to each other. The intimate backyard wedding was beautiful and drenched in sunshine. In the back corner of the yard was a small gazebo covered in beautiful flowers. That is where they met to exchange their vows.
It was truly a special wedding. I feel so blessed to have a job that introduces me to so many amazing people!
Shelly Fry Photography – Studio Time
I spent some time in the studio this week doing headshots and one very unique session. I look forward to sharing the final images with you at a later time. My studio is amazing! I love the opportunities is affords with the amount of space I have! With some help from Jeff I was able to build an elevator set to use as the background for a client. This is a very special client who only a few weeks ago appeared as “Beethoven” here on my blog. https://shellyfryphotography.com/my-everyday/shelly-fry-photography-3 I appreciate the opportunity to be creative it is a lot of fun!
I also had a more traditional headshot session with a client who is starting his own business. He figured the current selfie he had of himself didn’t quite send the message he wanted. The variety of what happens at Shelly Fry Photography keeps me endlessly entertained!
What’s Next at Shelly Fry Photography
Tomorrow I head to the Gorge to photograph Alex and Maria’s wedding. I met with them at the venue a couple of weeks ago. They are such a nice couple and I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding day. Their ceremony will be on a bluff overlooking the Columbia River Gorge. The forecast looks amazing and I can’t wait!
Sunday I will be meeting with the Pate family for an extended family session. This will be a big happy family that are gathering together after a long Covid break. This will also be a lot of fun!
Family Life
Our home has been full lately and I’m loving it! Our oldest and his wife are staying with us. One of my closest friends was here last week (sadly she has returned to ND) and we are preparing for our youngest’s wedding shower in two weeks! Jeff began his new job as CFO at Oregon Clinic this week and SFP is humming along!
We are juggling a lot of things right now and it can get overwhelming at times. One of the things I’m struggling with is something that brings me great joy but ugh!!! I absolutely LOVE my garden! BUT it takes me 1.5 hours to water everything that needs daily watering right now (this includes the flower beds etc but the garden is the bulk of it).
While I absolutely love my huge garden it takes FOREVER to water everything (not to mention weeding, picking and dead heading)! Happily Josh with some help from Jeff, began putting in a drip system. While its still a work in progress already I am saving time! Funny the things that get me excited these days!
Along with Josh and Jocelyn their pup Scout is staying with us. Scout is all kinds of youth and energy. Scout could not be happier here at grandma and grandpas place. She regularly rips around the yard and loves having Lucy around. Lucy is slowly warming up to her. Lucy is a tad older and not quite as energetic as Scout. In the past it has seemed Lucy would prefer Scout not be around. But lately I see signs that they are becoming buddies and it’s great to see!
Thanks for stopping by!
