SNOW!!!

Yes, I’m one of those people. And if you are one of THOSE people who don’t like snow we are not going to agree on this. But here is my reasoning {which is of course the right way to see things} It’s Winter people and Winter means you wears jeans and sweaters and boots. It means hot drinks and fires in the fireplace. Its a season and its NORMAL for this time of year to have cold weather. Now given the fact that we live in the NW this usually means lots and lots of miserable cold rain… And I ask you “wouldn’t you rather have snow?” 38 and rain is just yucky! So I say bring on the snow! Then I will be more then ready for Spring and all its glory when the calendar says its time for Spring  😎

Sorry if I sound a bit defensive but some people get so grouchy about the white stuff!  😉

The Value of a Photograph

This is Little Bob – His Mom Marilyn owns Main Street Floral Co here in Battle Ground. https://www.facebook.com/Main-Street-Floral-Company-133589930784/ Marilyn adores her furry companion.  Little Bob is getting up there in years and has some health issues. So as much as we would like our fur babies to live forever that just isn’t the way it works. Marilyn made the decision to have a studio session with Little Bob so she would always have beautiful professional pictures of her and her buddy.

It really was a special opportunity to document these two. I feel very honored to be trusted with such important photos. Marilyn has told me several times how much she loves them. Which means the world to me. I know that when its Little Bob’s time to go Marilyn will always have these photos to remind her of his cute face.

Marilyn is busy moving her business across the street and planning for a grand re-opening.  Click on the link above and follow her on FB. She is often having contests and giving things (flowers!) away. Plus you can follow her as she updates on the moving process.

I’m thankful to be part of this community. I am getting to know more and more of the business owners in town and other community leaders. Now that I am a business owner I understand the value of community and staying local in a way I never did before. Is there someone/business you can support in some way this week?

Looking forward to Spring but enjoying the snow!

Shelly
