It’s Friday! For many this is the end for the first full week of life since Christmas and it was exhausting!!! So hooray for making it to the end! I hope you have lovely plans for the weekend. We are planning on taking Lucy on her first beach trip! Should be fun!

My assistant has finally succumbed to the comfy cozy of her bed at the studio. Previously it was a chew toy and something to jump on 😆  She was {one} sleepy pup!

A client called asking for pictures of Cowlitz County for his new website. While I do have a few I thought it was a great opportunity to roam with my camera and see what Cowlitz County had to offer…Who knew that just up the road stood the WORLD’S  tallest single piece of wood totem pole! The more shocking part is I have driven by it HUNDREDS AND HUNDREDS of times and never noticed it!  🙄

Cowlitz County is lovely but I had to wonder about Castle Rock – Another place I have driven by countless times and I’ve never actually been to! I was intrigued to see the “Castle Rock” it must be so cool! I pictured rugged rocks with perhaps a nature made turret or a mote or something “castley” I mean an entire town was named after it so it must be impressive…

I drove right by it…and never would have known it was the Castle Rock if I hadn’t asked someone walking along the road.

I have to say I was unimpressed with “Castle Rock” but the town was cute…Lucy and I did hike to the top, thinking there would be a view…nope just a single picnic table with a tiny shelter over it and a thick hedge of trees…

The prettiest part was the hike up  😀

I found this adorable old theater and attached cafe in Kelso. I think I need to plan a date there sometime!  😛
