Happy December
Time to buckle up! If this month goes by as fast as last did we better brace ourselves! Today my newsletter hits inboxes. I write a newsletter once a month that includes what is happening with SFP each month. If you’d like to sign up here is a link http://madmimi.com/signups/f92831e48f4c4758a38ad3779e2d9f9b/join I don’t spam you. In general you only hear from me once a month unless I am announcing mini sessions or anything else out of the ordinary for SFP. As a subscriber you do get first access to any events or signups that are going on.
We have our Christmas lights up and the house is decorated. Next on my todo list is to order Christmas cards. I have so many beautiful wedding pictures to choose from for this years card.
This can be such a wonderful time of year if we don’t get ourselves too caught up in all the holiday chaos! I am really going to try and find moments where I can enjoy and not just rush through it all.
Ashton Class of 2023
Ashton is a Senior at BGHS. He plays football for them and is looking forward to going to college next year. We squeezed in Ashton’s session just before Thanksgiving. While his session in downtown Vancouver was chilly we had gorgeous light and amazing Fall colors so totally worth it! Ashton’s gallery was delivered on Monday just in time for their yearbook deadline. I’m so happy we were able to do that!
Holiday Mini Sessions 2022
Oh Man these were so fun! Honestly this event could not have gone better! I will admit to being a tad nervous leading up to this day. I had begun to second guess having 15 minis in one day! Never before have I done so many in one day and I was hoping my energy would hold up!
We had such a fun variety of people and pets it kept us on our toes all day!
A huge thank you for everyone who signed up this year! You were each so fun to work with and I especially appreciated how everyone was on time and ready to have fun!
Santa (aka Jeff) did a wonderful job even though some little ones were a bit unsure of him. He was also very helpful with props and anything else I needed.
I am also very appreciative of my assistant Elizabeth! Without her help I could have not gotten through 15 minis in one day!
I spent 12 hours editing on Monday and delivered all morning galleries and a few of the afternoon galleries that day. Tuesday I spend another 5 hours editing and everyone had their galleries back within 48 of the sessions!
Such a great experience and a fun way to bring in the holiday season!
Thanksgiving – A very thankful heart!
If you have adult “kids” you probably understand how much it means to have them all together. Now that both of my sons are married I have to share them. I don’t take for granted the time I get with them and their amazing wives. This was our year to have them all for Thanksgiving and we made the most of it! Thanksgiving day was hosted by my Mom with the rest of us making our contributions. I made some adorable pumpkin rolls that tasted awful! While Josh, Jocelyn and Kim were each much more successf_ul with their contributions. My mom took care of everything else and we had a wonderful Thanksgiving meal. The rest of our vacation was spent hiking, eating, playing games and enjoying a weekend getaway at the beach. It was so much fun I wish we could do it all again!
Thanks for stopping by!
