One of the things I love about my job is that sometimes I get to be behind the scenes or the holder of big secrets! This was one of those times! No one knew Heather and Colin are expecting except her best friend and me! Heather wanted to do a studio session where they would reveal their big secret first to Payton and then discover the gender of their new little one together as a family. This was so much fun!

How can you go wrong with confetti and Cake?! Plus they have some really fun images to help them share the exciting news!

The Beautiful Hammond Family

Being a family photographer is something that I really enjoy. Sometimes I get to photograph families that I have just met and sometimes I get to photograph my own family! This is my niece and her hubby and kids. We were in Walla Walla in April to celebrate our great-nephews 2nd birthday. It was the perfect opportunity to do a quick family/maternity session for them. I love these people and I love how their pictures turned out! I love the energy and the interactions that you can see in all of them. When the kids started picking flowers and bringing them to me my heart just melted! 

It was less than a month away from new baby’s due date and we were all anxious to meet the new little family member (no one knew the gender). 

Nora is 4!!! And PS some babies do arrive on their due dates!! 

We had a very eventful weekend trip to Walla Walla last week!  We have had our calendars marked for Nora’s birthday party for a long time! Her party would be held the day before her actual birthday. It also happened to be the due date for the newest addition to the family.  It seemed a bit risky to plan a big birthday party on your due date but come on!! Who is born on their actual due date?!! Ford Mason Hammond that’s who! Mom was very sad to miss Nora’s party but while she was busy bringing a beautiful life into the world we held down the fort and the party was a success! 

Mom had everything planned out ahead of time. There was an amazing strawberry cake, lots of friends a bounce house with a waterslide and lots of friends present for her special day! Then on Nora’s actual birthday she got to meet her new brother!  It was an amazing weekend and I was so thankful we got to be there for all the fun!
