Today is our 36th wedding anniversary! I think back to who we were all those years ago. We were both still in college, living in a one bedroom apartment with the ugliest and most uncomfortable couch you’ve ever seen! 36 years later we have lived in 5 states, raised two sons and are thankful for all of life’s blessings! While my memory can be fuzzy about those long ago details the pictures I have are sharp. I love how looking back through my photos sparks memories. And yes, it’s easy to notice all the things 36 year has changed about me but I’m choosing to celebrate the journey we have been on.
One thing I think I would do differently is to not get married the week before Christmas! It’s such a crazy busy time!
Family Photographer – Squires Family – Brush Prairie, WA
When I got married 36 years ago I had no idea I would end up being a family photographer! Secretly I dreamed about being a photographer for National Geographic. But no part of my brain at that time saw a path for me to become a photographer. I’m so glad I found my way. I’m not only a family photographer, but it is one of the areas I specialize in. Below is an example of a family mini session.
Sometimes you have to wait for all the kids to get home before you can schedule your Christmas photos. And when you have a super cool red truck you have to use it for those photos!! I was so happy to get a call from the Squires family. We had a quick, fun Christmas mini in front of the studio last weekend. I’m always thankful when those weather breaks happen just when I need them!
I understand how special it is to have all the kids home. Doesn’t matter the reason but Christmas is extra special for me. I absolutely love having a full house, good food, games, movies and great conversations.
If you are considering having some family photographs taken I would love for you to consider me. Here is a link to the portfolio on my website. As you look through the pictures you will notice a wide variety of locations and styles. Each photo session is designed for you! I want to chat with you and see what you would like to do. Some people love finding locations for their sessions. Other’s prefer to stay close to home. My job is to help you get the photos you want.
