Flowers/Glass

Flowers

Who doesn’t love {flowers}?
This Spring I think the {flowers} here in my neighborhood have been more abundant, vivid and breathtaking than ever! Right now the fields are blooming with whatever these darling little yellow blooms are called as well as daisies, lupine, poppies….

The lilacs have passed and my wisteria has leafed out with only a few blossoms here and there…
But next are the roses and other flowers in my yard that I really need to learn the names of!
Dahlias are popping up and my shasta daisies are getting taller….

I love that there is always another bloom on its way…

Glass

Years and Years ago when my boys were still little…
We took a vacation at a beach called Kalaloch on the Washington Coast…
My oldest and I ventured out on a walk and I was THRILLED to discover TWO {glass} fishing balls…

I had seen them in the stores but I had never found one on the beach.
They remain to this day my best find on the beach…
I’m amazed that something made of {glass} could endure the test of the ocean and time and being washed up on shore and remain intact…

They aren’t fragile…
But I’m sure I could smash it with some effort…
Bud sadly I only have one of them left…

Why? I have no idea…
It is simply gone…
I haven’t seen it since we moved into this house 11 years ago so I suspect the {glass} fishing ball was somehow tossed in the process…

The green band you see on the ball is simply a reflection of our lawn 🙂 it is a solid color with some bubbles in it…

I hope I don’t lose this one!
And I hope I find more one day…

I will be away for a few days…
My plan is to post next on Wednesday…
I will still be posting on my instagram for the 365 Project…
