- I was a tomboy – I loved the outdoors on foot, on bike, in a tree, wandering in the woods – I once had a neighborhood boy ask me to be his girlfriend after he saw me jumping my bike in mud puddles 😉 I don’t think we ever spoke after that! 😆
- I wanted to be in the Olympics – I had no shot (I’m a TAD on the tall and inflexible side!) 😆 but I loved watching the gymnastic routines and I use to make ones up and perform them at home.
- The scariest moment of my childhood was watching my then 2 year old brother fall into a canal in Idaho and get sucked under the road. I remember my Uncle and I ran back and forth over the road trying to find him. When my Uncle pulled him out he was completely unfazed.
- I lived in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and New Mexico
- When I was very little someone asked what I wanted to be when I grew up. I replied “a gardener and movie star” – I have achieved one of those 😉
- I never knew what to do with my Barbies. I spent hours playing with wooden blocks and Tonka Trucks
- For years I was TERRIFIED at night. I had monsters under my bed, in my closet, in the wall and bats that were going to fly in my window and suck my blood… 😯
- I secretly believed I was the dumbest kid in the class.
- I secretly believed I was the best 4 square player EVER!
- I use to throw my peas out the window when my Mom wasn’t looking… 😆

Sometimes I’m not even thinking about taking pictures and I just see it. I see the {details} light, the angle and even if it’s not a picture I would ever know what to do with I hop up and grab my camera and snap away. My family doesn’t even ask anymore… 😉

I am definitely going through a season where I know many people that I care about who are facing serious health concerns. I lift them up in prayer daily. I have experienced the power of prayer. I had a perfect pregnancy with Josh until everything went wrong in a very serious way. I remember sitting in the hospital looking at a picture on the wall. The picture was of Jesus holding an infant in his arms. I remember crying and begging Him to hold the baby inside of me. I know Jesus would have held him regardless of the outcome. We were blessed with a beautiful, premature, but healthy boy who is now a man. I am very thankful for his {life}.
