How’s life going? We are halfway through the first month of the new year… So how’s it going? Did you win the lottery? Have you stuck with any resolutions so far? How’s the fitbit working out for you? (I returned mine, apparently I was dead no heartbeat!) :roll Have you developed any new habits? Are you reading any good books?
I am currently devouring Kate Morton’s new book The Lake House. I don’t for the life of me know how on earth she keeps everything organized in her head! If you don’t like stories that jump around in time periods and from character to character this is not the book for you. But if you like a read that challenges and intrigues you then Kate is your author! Sometimes, as I’m reading my mind wanders and wonders how on earth she is keeping all the details and various rabbit trails straight! I haven’t finished the book so I don’t know “who did it” I don’t even know if it was a murder or kidnapping or both at this point, but I have my suspicions which is EXACTLY what she wants! So I’m thinking I’m probably suspecting who Kate want’s me to suspect and the zinger is right around the corner… 😆
Classic

And speaking of books – I will never give up my love of books. These {classics} are where some of my love of books began. I don’t know how many times I’ve read The Secret Garden…So many books so little time! Someday I will have one of those gorgeous magical libraries with a fireplace and cozy nooks for reading and walls and walls of books with a ladder so I can reach the ones on the tipy top…
Emotion

{Emotion} was a tough prompt for me. I thought and thought about it and while my husband offered to make faces at the camera I decided on yet another picture of Lucy… the {emotion} = BLISS. This is her hard at work with me at the studio. 😆
New
One of my favorite things about my town are all the vintage shops. They have a talent for taking something old and making it {new} I love shopping for props for my shoots and furniture for my studio! So many creative, beautiful things to find!

I think Winter has a reputation for being the opposite of {delicate} with its harsh cold and bare branches… But nature is a strange beast. I wish there were snowflakes outside my door so I could take pictures of the {delicate} details found in each one and when I took the time to look I actually saw tiny {delicate} new growth on several plants. It’s always beautiful outside!
I’ve had a hard time finding time to blog this week! As I begin my second year of this blog and my second Project 365 I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed 😯 But that is life – some days it all comes together and some days it all falls apart! The point is we keep showing up each and every day with a smile on our face and determination in our hearts!
Last year I chose a word for the year – something to focus and remind myself of, something I felt I needed to work on. Last year it was CONFIDENCE. This year my word is BELIEVE- I am working on believing in God and believing in my abilities.
What is your word this year?
