I have to admit that while I did shoot with my big girl camera each day this weekend all of my “official” pictures I posted for my 365 Project were taken with my iphone…
Sometimes I just didn’t have my camera with me when I had the opportunity to shoot whatever the prompt was for that day…
On Sabbath I had the opportunity to shoot a lovely evening wedding…
But prior to that we had a last minute invite to some lovely friends home and while I was standing near the counter I saw my picture of the day and snapped it! {In my cup} was some yummy Martinellis!
Later at the wedding I grabbed a shot of what was in the Bride and Groom’s cups (also Martinelli’s)
Today
So {today} which was yesterday…was Father’s Day…
The first Father’s Day with no children around…
I have to say this Father handled it much better than I would have!!
I informed the father of my children that {today} (yesterday) he was king for the day and we would do whatever he wanted 🙂
So we took our bikes and headed into the beautiful Gorge to bike 22 miles…
Yes, there is a long flight of stairs (that isn’t the bottom you see just the landing where the stairs turn and keep going) in the middle of the trail…
I wish I had taken a picture of the sign as you approach this obstacle…
It is very helpful! It says “STOP stairs ahead”
If you haven’t had the opportunity to carry a bike down a long flight of stairs in biking cleats you just haven’t lived! And yes we get to climb up those same stairs on the way back!

It is a beautiful ride and we pretty much had it to ourselves…
This picture was not easy for a few reasons
1. I’m going about 20 down a slight incline
2. My phone was in the back pocket of my riding jersey..
3. I had biking gloves on
4. I didn’t have the luxury of using both hands because I cannot ride with no hands…
So yes, it’s blurry – but that is to show motion 🙂
See above but this time done while riding through a pitch black tunnel…
Our ride concluded with a picnic lunch 🙂
I am so thankful my kids were blessed with such an awesome dad and fantastic example of what a man should be!!
So {today} – yesterday – was a pretty great day!
Thanks for following along with my photo project! I can’t believe today I will be shooting my 173rd picture! It sure makes the year seem like it is flying by!
