On Friday I did not have a typical morning. {My morning} consisted of hanging out with some pretty great 3/4th graders. I’m always a bit nervous about subbing…You never know what you are walking into…
What I always loved about teaching was the relationship I had with the kids…
It is difficult to have a relationship with a group of individuals you only spend a day with…
But fortunately I do know some of these kiddos or at least their families and that makes it easier…
One of the parts of subbing I always dread is MATH…
Yes, I realize that I was only subbing 3/4 but it is a foreign language and I had 20 minuets to understand “Function Notation” (something I am certain I had never heard of) before the kids returned from PE and I had to TEACH them the concept…
I was feeling very successf_ul – I had mastered the concept, the kids were listening, all was well…
There were about 5 students in a back office working on their advance math (show offs!) when all of the sudden, in the middle of my gripping math lesson, the door flies open and a sobbing girl emerges and storms out of the room…
Math lesson interrupted…Oh the drama of 3/4 grade…

I was a little panicked over Saturday’s prompt {pastel} – I don’t own {pastel} in any form…
The prompt was in the back of my mind all morning…
My hubby and I headed to Forest Park for a hike. We parked and walked to the park admiring the gorgeous (fancy) homes we passed…
Turns out not only do the people live in fancy homes but so do the birds…

Thankfully the birds preferred {pastel} for their sweet ride!
There was a second 3 story bird house…the bottom floor was a horse stable complete with horse heads…Why I didn’t take a picture I will never know…

Sunday was Easter and I was hired to take pictures at an Easter Egg hunt…
Which was a really fun job!
The weather cooperated, the kids were excited there were yummy cupcakes (I ate 3! 2 small ones and one big one!) a pretty sweet job!
Is it just me or does this bunny just look a bit off…. 🙂
