It’s Friday! And Yes, the days are getting shorter…

Life has been a bit crazy lately. And while I LOVE Fall I have noticed how much shorter the days (daylight) are and I’m panicking! I am having to schedule my shoots earlier and earlier in the day and soon I will just be able to shoot on weekends.  I have so loved being able to book sessions during the evenings during the week! And the weather has been SPECTACULAR! 😎 Of course Fall is the time when many people begin thinking about family photo sessions so it is my busy season so I just need the clock to slow down!  😆

Are you considering a Fall photo session? Do you have some great pictures for you Christmas cards this year? I would love to help you out! Maybe someone in the family would treasure a beautiful family portrait as a Christmas gift? With the digital prints you receive from our photo session you could create photo albums, Christmas ornaments, canvas wall hangings all awesome Christmas gifts! Shoot me an email or call me so I can get you on the schedule ASAP! 😎

DSC_6782Why do I love {pumpkins} so much? There is something magical about them to me! So many sizes, shapes, colors I love the variety! I don’t thing I will ever take on the challenge of trying to grow the worlds largest pumpkin, (I’m not that dedicated) but I do enjoy planting those tiny little seeds and watching the transf_ormation from little green sprouts to wonderful pumpkins!

Quiet

This past week I spent some time in the woods. One of the evenings I ventured down to the lake after dark and stood on the swim dock in awe. Not only were the stars stunningly bright in the sky but I could see their reflection in the glass smooth water as well. I don’t remember ever having seen stars reflecting on the surface of water. I had my camera and for the life of me I couldn’t get the settings correct. Everything I did resulted in a black picture  😳

I was frustrated because it was so beautiful and I wanted to be able to share it with others. But after 15 minutes of frustration I realized I was missing it. So I gave up and took a big breath, stilled myself and just enjoyed…It was perfectly still. The {quiet} was absolute! I stood there and let the {quiet} surround me, settle on me, still me… Sometimes it’s ok to just enjoy the moment and be still.
