Anderson Family

I had so much fun with this family! Megan was a former student of mine from just a few years ago  😉 and she has grown into such a beautiful woman and loving wife and mother! What a joy to stay connected with former students of mine! Megan and Andrew have their hands full with their three little men! So much intelligence, curiosity and ENERGY! Oh my!

Reflection

As I {reflect}ion back on my week I wonder why I was so stressed? It was because things were beyond my control and I had an agenda that “other” people were preventing me from accomplishing. That was frustrating to me.  In life I want to push forward. I struggle mightily with enjoying the present. I am always looking for the next – whatever- or I’m busy worrying that whatever I had been waiting for is quickly slipping through my fingers and will be over too soon. Rarely (if ever) am I content in the moment – and as I write that it seems so sad  😥

So today, as I spend my first full afternoon working in my new office, I am working on being content in the moment. Yes, there is a long list of things left to be done (light fixtures would be nice) but there has been much progress and I am thankful for that!  I am content working in my new space 😆

Artistic

As a photographer you are considered by many to be {artistic} – I have learned to appreciate that idea- however I find it amusing because I grew-up believing myself to be completely devoid of all {artistic} talent. I guess it depends on how you define {artistic} – I defined it as someone who could draw or paint and later as someone who could see a pile of junk and create something beautiful.

I now realize that {artistic} means many things and that we all have our own {artistic} talents to share.  😎

I had the total joy of watching my son share his {artistic} talents this past weekend. He has just finished his third summer working at Big Lake and he has just thrived there! We sent him off for his first Big Lake experience when he was just 7 and now 14 years later he still loves the place!

We all need more {silly} in our lives!  There was lots and lots of {silly} happening behind and in front of the camera! My husband is excellent at {silly} and brought it all to the table in his efforts to help me get these three to pose for the camera!

Being {silly} is fun! And stress reducing! So let’s all be {silly} at some point today! 😆
