We are Moved!

It is done! We packed up everything we own and drove it 2.8 miles and we are still unpacking it…. If you’ve moved recently I don’t have to tell you about the exhaustion, the back pain or the overwhelming feeling of ‘What have we done?” that takes over your body and mind! I also don’t have to tell you about the bitter end. Those last two car loads of stuff left at the old house that have to be moved (and end up being 4 carloads more). The stuff that you suddenly despise and have no idea what to do with.  I also don’t have to mention the dust bunnies, spider webs and everything else that is on full display when you move your furniture and appliances. 

While the big move is over there is still so much to do! Last Thursday was our first night in our new home. Tuesday of this week was the first time I was able to begin moving into my new studio. I am mostly out of my Main St studio but there is one more trailer load of for the biggest pieces left to do. Then the nesting in the new studio begins! I can’t wait to set it all up!

Wisteria!!!!!

Jeff and I were exploring the new garden area with our oldest son Josh when I noticed something I had missed before. There is an established Wisteria vine!!! It just made my day! Some of you know that 2 houses ago I had a huge gorgeous trellis that was completely covered by 4 Wisteria vines. I loved sitting under it and when it bloomed it was just amazing! While there was much discussion in our last home about planting one it never happened. I have really missed having a Wisteria and seeing one already growing made my day!

Studio Sessions

I am booking now! I’ve had a few people comment that when I’m settled they would like to book a studio session in my new studio. My response is, I’m already booking! Let’s get it on the schedule now! I have my first head shot session next week and I’m looking forward to many, many more sessions in my new space! 

Izzy’s Full Senior Session!

It was Dec 31st. The week after Christmas, the week it snowed and the week before we moved. It was also the week we had planned to do Izzy’s Senior Session. Izzy had come to the studio earlier that month for a studio session and now it was time for her full session! Izzy wanted an urban vibe and like what downtown Vancouver had to offer. It was a chilly morning, but it was dry and we had a great time! Izzy did a fantastic job not only ignoring the cold but looking stunning the entire time!

You move and then there is the Unpacking…

Well that’s all I have  this week. I need to get back to unpacking those boxes and figuring out where everything goes. If you have a need for moving boxes I have 40+ banker boxes. They are ideal for books and anything heavy or fragile. Let me know and I can hook you up!
