Yes, it’s difficult to believe we are making holiday plans already! While I am thankful we won’t be alone this year I wish that all of my kids could be with me. Is that selfish? Sharing is no fun!
The Problem –
One of the things on my list is figuring out what to do for our holiday cards this year. It is more challenging now that my oldest son is married and living in CA. Does that mean we begin sending cards out with just Jeff and I as well as Lucy on them? Hmmmm….
The Solution –
For those of you who wished you had family pictures and have your family nearby I have a solution for you! I am offering Mini Family Sessions this Sunday the 14th as well as the 21st. At the time of this writing I have 2 spots available for this weekend and 3 for the following. These sessions are 20 min long and the price includes 5 images with the option to purchase additional images if you choose.
If your holiday plans include
- Sending out cards to friends and family
- Needing a special unique, one-of-a-kind, thoughtful gift
- Family coming home for the Thanksgiving holiday
I have a solution! Click this link to see the details of which time slots are available as well as pricing and location details. Then you can book it and mark something off that long to-do list of yours!

Holiday Plans
One of my holiday plans involve trying to talk this client into making me a cozy Alpaca sweater or blanket (I’m not picky)! Last week I was hired to take pictures of Marty. An ADORABLE 3 month old Alpaca! I also photographed a few other animals but Marty definitely had my attention! I was asked to crop Marty’s portrait in several different way. Anyway you crop him he is adorable!
I found myself having to pull my sweater out of a goats mouth, dodge an aggressive sheep and avoid being jumped on by a massive dog but it was totally worth it! Marty and his mom as well as aunt will all be sheared and their owner uses the wool to make all kinds of crafts. I think that is taking crafting to a whole new level! No one spit on me and I love their sweet little grunts. Maybe one day I will have an Alpaca! So cute!
She described felting to me and I am seriously considering giving it a try. I think stabbing something over and over again may be just what I need some days!
Head Shots – On location
A mortgage company reached out to me last week and asked if I could come on site and take some head shots for their team. They requested a white backdrop. So I packed up my backdrop frame, backdrop, lighting and all that goes with it and headed to their office. My son Tyler was able to meet me and help me set up. We set up everything right in the lobby so I felt like I was on center stage.
Senior Studio Session
I got an unexpected call Tuesday morning from Emma’s dad. He was hopping I would be available to take some studio shots of his daughter that day! I was thrilled to be able to arrange a time that would work for both of us. In just 20 min we had some beautiful shots of Emma.
Holiday Plans – Dog Portraits
I am in discussions with a local groomer to help them take dog portraits with Santa. I’m pretty excited about this upcoming opportunity! If you are a dog owner and you currently use Wags and Whiskers as your groomer let them know you would be interested in participating in their holiday photo shoot.
Here is their contact info http://wagsbg.com/
Lucy will definitely be getting a photo with Santa!
Thanks for stopping by friends!
