Fall with SFP
I am finally seeing the trees beginning to show off their Fall colors. This past weekend we were able to visit a pumpkin patch. I just wasn’t able to bring myself to go when it was 85 outside! Last weekend it was cool and dry after a morning rain had settled all the dust. It was the perfect (in my opinion) pumpkin patch weather! We headed up north to The Patch in Woodland. I love this family owned farm. This was our second year visiting. We agreed the corn maze seemed a bit easier this year, it only took us about 20 min. I love the variety of pumpkins they have. Last year they had a super cool gourd tunnel and I was disappointed they didn’t have it this year. I think I want to try and create my own gourd tunnel in the garden next year. I harbor a secret ambition of being a pumpkin farmer one day!
Cash – Class of 2023 – Fall Senior Session
Cash and I hung out in downtown Vancouver for his Senior Session. This was literally the last dry day before all the rain began! The light was perfect and we enjoyed walking around exploring the city and the waterfront. I discovered Cash is not a fan of Mexican food or Italian food but does really enjoy sushi. He plays tennis for his school and has a special girl who lives in CA.
They Said “I Do” Becky and Travis – What was supposed to be a Summer wedding ended up as a Fall Wedding
Becky met with me at my old studio on Main St. over a year ago to discuss her upcoming wedding. Their wedding date was June 26th. As their date drew closer I noticed the forecast. Hot! The weather people were predicting 100 for their wedding day. The rehearsal went well and we were all set for a beautiful (but hot) wedding in two days time. And then, on June 25th, Becky and Travis both came down sick and they had to postpone everything! Can you imagine! But they had the dress, the flowers, the venue, the photographer, the catering all paid for and ready to go. Happily everyone was able to agree to a new date October 23.
So 4 months later on a much cooler (but thankfully dry) day we all gathered to finally celebrate Travis and Becky. It was beautiful ceremony that went smoothly. Congratulations you two! I’m so glad you finally got your special day!
Holiday Mini Sessions at SFP
I cannot believe next week is November! I think with our extended heat and the delayed Fall colors we are getting cheated out of a true Fall.
As a small business owner you’ve got to be planning ahead! Thankfully with my larger studio I have been able to set up my Holiday backdrops and I’m all ready for our upcoming mini sessions! These are a fast and fun way to get your family, friends, pets, etc together for a quick photo session!
