Believe – Shelly Fry Photography {Vancouver WA & Battle Ground WA}

What is it you believe? What do you believe about yourself? About others? About God? About life on other planets?Are you comfortable with your beliefs? Sure of them? Are they healthy beliefs?  How are your beliefs directing your path? In a positive growing direction? In a fearful, dark direction? Do you believe you can grow and change? Do you believe the best is yet to come? What are you doing with your beliefs on a daily basis? Do you use them to serve others? Strengthen yourself? Make judgments?

I have been thinking about this years word Believe. If you missed that blog click here –  https://shellyfryphotography.com/my-everyday/believe-shelly-fry-photography-family-photographer-vancouver-wa-battle-ground-wa

I am discovering how very challenging it is to change beliefs that I have held close to my heart for these past 50 years. It is no small task to try to flip your mindset when it has wrapped its tentacles and clung to certain belief your entire life.
I don’t mean to sound like I need to change all of my beliefs. But I am aware that I tend to run on the distrustful side of beliefs, especially when it comes to my abilities or place in society. That is what I have chosen to focus my growth on. I absolutely do not want to end this year in the same place I find myself today. A large part of that is Believing I can, believing its possible, believing it will be OK, even when it’s not how I planned it.

Valentine’s Day Mini Sessions at SFP

I am super excited about a gorgeous new backdrop I have acquired. The backdrop consists of 4 large panels of handmade, paper flowers. They are stunning! The only way they can possible look better is with your adorable children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews, random neighborhood kids, in front of them.

Tomorrow I have sweet Ruby coming in to model for me for my official promo shots.  But for now you get a sneak peek with Cannon my teddy bear.  The Mini Sessions will be on Feb 10th. They will be 20 min and you will receive 3 digital images for $125. These images would be fun for sharing on social media, sending to the grandparents, or holding for blackmail purposes once your adorable little ones have grown into moody teenagers.

Here Comes The Bride

I mentioned in last weeks  blog that I was preparing to shoot my first wedding of 2019. It was such a beautiful special wedding! I had never before had a groom wearing traditional attire or one covered in coconut oil! I was fascinated learning about the special customs from Fiji that were included. Tim patiently explained the process of making his wedding attire. Bark of a specific tree found in Fiji is used.  Tim explained it takes months and months to prepare and decorate his wedding attire. The designs are hand painted and are specific to his families heritage.  He can wear his {outfit, costume? I don’t know what to call it!} for other occasions it would just be wrapped around him in a different fashion.

Tim and Amanda are the perfect blend of two cultures and their wedding was beautiful! I will write a specific blog for their wedding day once their gallery is finished.

Hey friends if you would share this post I would really appreciate it! Also if you know any adorable children who would like to be photographed by me please send them my way!

Thanks so much for stopping by! You are appreciated!
