An update regarding my business plans –
A month ago I made the HUGE decision to open an office/gallery in Old Town Battle Ground. It was (is?) an amazing opportunity and very affordable and I was looking for direction so I made the decision to go for it.
I have been making plans and moving towards this goal. The agreement was that we would move in and begin August 1 – today is August 3 and I have not even begun to move in because the space looks the same as it did a month ago (not finished from remodeling). I had hoped to participate in First Friday this Friday and have my “grand opening” at that time. At this point I have NO IDEA when I will be able to move in. I’m frustrated with the realization that frustration doesn’t help. But I’m human. And I’m a planner. And if I say I’m going to do something I will do everything in my power to make it happen so I have very little patience with people who make promises that fall through…
But, I realize I live in a world where things don’t always work out and I have come to terms with the situation. I am anxiously awaiting the opportunity to nest in my new space and invite you over to check it out. I will let you know when.
I love all the quotes on Pinterest – here’s one for me and I’m sure some of you as well –
“The moment you’re ready to quit is usually the moment right before a miracle happens. Don’t give up!”
A Chore
212/365
There are lots of chores in life. I had to remind myself that I actually enjoy some of them.
So instead of focusing on the {chores} I don’t enjoy (and really why would I?) I decided I would photograph one I enjoy — gardening. I begin each morning in my garden. It is such a beautiful time of day. Sometimes my bed tries to lure me into staying put, but I never regret getting up and enjoying the cool morning while I water my garden. Lately, with this ridiculous heat I have been watering twice a day! One of my {chores} is building pumpkin “hammocks”. 😉 I keep an eye out for pumpkins growing on the trellis and when they get to a certain size I need to fashion a hammock for them. 😀
Lazy

I’m not sure I would call running away to the beach for the day {lazy}…
But we did take a snooze on the beach in the sunshine so I guess there was some {lazy} in our day. We also hiked, explored, had a picnic, browsed a farmers market and enjoyed a sunset from the car. So if that’s {lazy} I’m OK with it 😎
Dots

Is there a difference between {dots} and spots?
Just something for you to think about and discuss today 😛
