What is your favorite pastime?
The Oxford English Dictionary defines pastime as – “a diversion or recreation which serves to pass the time agreeably…”
I despise waiting…
That is why it is ESSENTIAL I have a book with me at all times…
If I don’t have a book and I’m stuck waiting I’m GROUCHY!!!
If I’m stuck waiting and I have a book, suddenly I have been given the gift of time to read – Which is truly a treasured gift!!!
“Pastime” is also defined as something you do for enjoyment rather than work…
{My Favorite Pastime} is reading – and if I get to read in my “Wisteria Fort” that is even better!
Of course photography is also {my favorite pastime}…
It’s alright to have more than one!
Since I cheated on my selfie last week I took the time to set up my tripod and use my remote shutter for this picture…
It’s always tricky to get the picture to focus where you want it to when your subject (me) can’t be in the picture to focus on…
In this situation I hung the book over the back of the chair hoping that would be about where my head would be and focused on that…
I also had to compensate for the lighting…
I needed to expose for the darker area where I would be sitting and not on the bright area outside of the Wisteria…
And then the magic of photography…
It looks like I’m serenely sitting there reading when in fact I didn’t read a word and I kept jumping up to check the pictures and adjusting! 🙂

In my garden there are many {rows}…
I am really enjoying my {rows} of flowers right now…
I love having flowers in my garden!
SFP Update – I have ordered an area rug and a new picture on aluminum for my new office/gallery…
Today I drove by my new space…
I’m anxious to move in! I wish I didn’t have to wait…
I guess I will go read to help pass the time…
