Well, Friday got away from me and before I knew it I was sitting in Troutdale at the Taco Bell parking lot talking to my oldest, and my blog post just didn’t happen, so there will be lots of pictures today 😉
I also spoke at CAA for Career Day – how fun was that! I got to stand in front of students and tell them about what photography is like as a career – plus the presenters were given yummy snacks after so- score!
Not long after my stellar presentation – I was headed south on a Friday afternoon to deliver a pair of hiking boots…Is that love our what! When your boy texts you and says “mom will you meet me in PDX about 4ish to give me dad’s hiking boots?” Knowing that after the hand-off (and hopefully a hug) you have to turn around and try to drive back into Washington during a Friday afternoon rush hour… 😯
Things worked better than I thought. What I expected would be brief exchange turned into a two hour visit! Rush hour(s) was over and I got a nice long visit with my boy. 😀
While I did worry all weekend if he would end up on the news lost and frozen in the Gorge – the irony here is that my niece’s husband was lost in the mountains and snow outside of Walla Walla. He and a few friends spent the night out in the cold after getting stranded while motorcycle riding. It was a horrible experience for all of them. You can read about it here. Thankfully there is a happy ending and all are home safe now – but WOW! Good grief! 😯

A Product I Love

I never like this prompt {A product I love} So I went my own way yesterday 😀 Yesterday Jeff and I saw something we had never seen before. We heard there were some eagles to be seen along the Lewis River in Woodland. We were blown away by how many were there! We estimate there were about 100 eagles! It was really something cool to see. I don’t know for sure, but I’m guessing they have gathered for the smelt run and it is not a normal gathering for them. I wish I had better lenses to capture them but I had fun trying! They are pretty cool for birds 😉
Smile! It’s gonna be a sunny week!
