Merry Christmas!!!

My heart is full! I’m thankful for so much this Christmas! My best wishes to each of you. I hope you are spending Christmas just the way you want to! I will be hosting a brunch at our home for the 18th year in a row and I love that tradition! It makes my heart full to have my home full of family and friends Christmas morning!

As my kids move into adulthood I know my Christmas’s with them are numbered. Soon they will have families and traditions of their own. They may move across the country or the world… And when that time arrives I will happily pack my bags and show up at their doors 😆  In the meantime I’m holding onto to Christmas at home with the family as long as I can!

Joshua 2 1/2 months – 1997

We made the long, expensive and stressf_ul 😯  cross country trip so we could be home in the Northwest for Josh’s first Christmas.

Ty’s first Christmas was in Tennessee – We were older and wiser and poorer so we stayed home and had Christmas just the four of us. But happily it would be our last Christmas away from family.  😀

A Fun Activity

On Monday I had a {fun activity) when I ventured into the big city with my friend to explore a new shopping area – Monticello Antique Marketplace. They have lots of lovely things and it is an awesome place to find photography props. But every once in awhile you turn a corner and you see a headless doll on a fur next to a Christmas tree made from ornaments…. 😯

IMG_2269Or another doll – this time with her body but stuffed into a bird cage… The stuff of nightmares!!!  😯 Not sure what the inspiration was there! But it was a fun activity anyway!  😛

Decor

You won’t find headless dolls at my house. My {decor} is heavily influenced by the Christmas season at the moment. Way, way back when I was in 5th or 6th grade my Mom and I went to a ceramic shop and made some decorations – I made these very simple angles and my Mom beautifully painted a Mr. Mrs. Santa that I also have on display at home. They are precious to me and come out every year!

Merry Christmas! I will continue taking my pictures but won’t post on this blog until next week. Enjoy your family and friends!
