Ty and Kim Get Married this Weekend!

Oh man it is finally here! We are so excited about this wedding!  I am really looking forward to celebrating Ty and Kim this weekend! It has been crazy around here keeping up with gallery deliveries and preparing for this wedding weekend! Today, I spent a couple hours cleaning and packing in my wedding shoes! I just couldn’t find the right shoes and finally ordered some online and they arrived yesterday.  The toe strap is super tight (why can’t they put elastic in them?) With my foot surgery my left foot doesn’t fit as it should because my great toe doesn’t bend. So I’m trying to stretch them out and learn how to walk without a limp. I’m a bit nervous about getting down the isle but at least I will have Ty to hold on to!

If you follow me on IG you know I will be posting all weekend! Tomorrow on the plane I will be proudly wearing my “Mother of the Groom” T-shirt! I’m so excited to be celebrating with friends and family this weekend!

I dropped Ty off at the airport this week. I’m so happy he’s getting married. I love Kim so much and yet…I was crying as I drove away. This is emotional for me and I’m not sure why. Maybe just because I’m a Mom. 🙂 

In the meantime I’ve kept busy photographing several senior sessions, a football team and a very special extended family session. 

Grace Class of 2023 -Mcmenamins

I was thrilled when Grace choose McMenamins  Edgefield for her location. I always have so much fun photographing there! There is such a great variety of backgrounds and its fun wandering around the property. It had been 5 years since I had last seen Grace. It is amazing how quickly our kids grow up! She commutes from BG all the way to Beaverton for school each day! I’m guessing she won’t miss that commute!

Maya Class of 2023 -LaCamas Lake

Maya has a huge passion for music. She sings in the Choir at Union HS. We first met at Union HS so she could have some pictures taken in front of the Performing Arts Center.  Later while we were at LaCamas lake she sang a bit for us. I’m always so jealous of those who have beautiful voices! Thank you for sharing your voice Maya.

Perry Family – La Center

This amazing family has a special place in my heart! Both Christina and Dustin are former students of mine and we’ve known the family for a very long time. What a blessing for Mark and Gayle to see their family grow over the years! It’s not easy getting everyone together let alone getting 6 little ones and 6 adults enthusiastic for a photo shoot. I absolutely love the colors they choose! Everyone was happy and upbeat and you could tell they were enjoying their time together. We met at the beautiful Sternwheeler Park in La Center.  

Caiden Class of 2023 -Vancouver

I love it when guys choose urban for their location. Honestly, guys are more challenging to pose and having lots of different textures and locations to work with is helpful! Downtown Vancouver has a lot to offer. We first met uptown and then ended the session down in the new waterfront area.  Caiden was in this for his Mom and he did such a great job! 

Michael Class of 2023 -Vancouver

Michael also choose downtown Vancouver for his location. I really enjoyed Michael’s quirky sense of humor. He kept us laughing most of the session. Michael is another example of a Senior guy who really wasn’t interested in Senior pictures but loves his Mom enough to go along!   I’m happy to say he ended up enjoying himself!

Ok friends that’s it for this week. I’m off to finish packing and then I’m just focusing on friends and family and the wedding weekend!
