Happy Summer friends!

It certainly feels like Summer to me now! There is nothing like a sunny long holiday weekend! Jeff and I didn’t have any real plans so we just made up plans as we went along.

We started things off Friday morning. Jeff and I did some rock climbing at The Source https://www.sourceclimbing.com/ to start our holiday weekend off. If you are at all interested in trying rock climbing I highly recommend this gym and I’m more than happy to go with you!

Saturday we went for a 22 mile bike ride where I literally almost saw my husband get killed before my eyes. If I’ve ever seen a guardian angel at work it was last Saturday! 

We went for a 5 mile hike up Silver Star on the 4th. The views were amazing and the wildflowers gorgeous! No near death experience was a real plus!

Finally on Monday we went to Astoria and then down to Cannon Beach. I have a wedding in Astoria in a couple weeks and figured Monday was a great opportunity to do some location scouting as well as just enjoying the beach. Lucy is a big fan of beach trips!

We also finally got out our Spike Ball and began learning how to play in the privacy of our backyard. Yep if you creep around in the evening sometime you will find a middle aged married couple trying to find their fast twitch muscles and accuracy. It’s fun! And FUNNY!

Happy Anniversary! This Summer is going way better!

It’s been a year since my joint fusion surgery. July 2, 2020 I had the joint on my left foot fused. A year ago I was non weight bearing and stuck sitting around. It took a tremendous amount of effort just to get up and move from one place to the others. I was not a happy camper! Which makes every, walk, hike, bike ride, climbing session and spike ball game all that much sweeter! It’s been a long year with some setbacks but right now my foot is in a good place and I’m very thankful it’s behind me!

Beach Shoot – July 18th

I will be at the beach on July 18th if anyone is interested in a beach Family or Senior Session.  Since I’m already at the beach the normal travel fee is waved.  This is a great opportunity for some truly unique and memorable photos. I have a pretty good knowledge of the beaches and I’m happy to talk with you about locations that could range all the way from basic wide open beaches, to hidden out of the way more adventurous spots. I’d love to hear from you if this sounds like something you would like to do. 

Summer Shoots – Head Shots and Family Sessions

This week I had a professional head shot session in the Studio and tonight I have a family session. This weather has been just perfect! I’m very excited to have the opportunity to photograph with my new camera tonight! This will be my first full session since my new camera arrived. I did pester my son to pose for me the other night and Lucy joined in.
