December 28 – too late to wish someone a Merry Christmas and too soon to say Happy New Year! 😉 So I guess I will just wish you a Happy Monday! For some you are still on vacation – for others you are back to work but hopefully it is another short week because of New Years.
I hope you all enjoyed your Christmas – whether it was on a sunny warm beach, a snowy log cabin, or a cozy home in the middle of the soaking rains of the Northwest. I was jealous of my friends and neighbors who live only minutes away but at a higher elevation – they had Christmas snow! Oh well, maybe next year 🙄
Snow or no snow I was blessed with family and friends and it was a wonderful Christmas!
Outside
357/365
The weather has made it challenging to get {outside} lately…and honestly if it wasn’t for Lucy I would have stayed in a day or two. Thank goodness for Lucy! 😀
The Night Before
358/365
Our family celebrates Christmas Eve with my husband’s side of the family with a yummy enchilada feast and white elephant gift exchange 🙂 We then have a traditional Christmas morning at our house. We wake up early to see what Santa has left in the stockings and under the tree. Followed by a brunch where everyone is invited. And even though we wait to open our gifts until the morning after Santa has brought them (obviously!) there have been plenty of discussions {the night before} over the years that go something like this – “can we open just one gift tonight?” (that would be me) Followed by my husbands response of “No we should wait until morning!” 🙁 But I’m always glad we wait because Christmas morning in jammies and messy hair is just so fun!
I love that my kids are still eager for Christmas morning! Gone are the days where we have to tell them to wait until 7am before waking up but they were up by 8! 😀 But {the night before} is always full of eager anticipation!
Family
359/365
{Family} is absolutely the best part of Christmas! So thankful for each of them! Even the three pups that shared the day with us and refused to pose for the picture! 🙄
Something New
360/365
While there was snow in the area it did not land in our yard. So we took a drive to visit the illusive snow! Snow is {new} to Lucy and she loves it! Fetch is so much more fun in the snow!!! 😆
A Door
361/365
I’m still recovering from Christmas…When I saw the prompt was {a door} I thought how fun it would be to drive into PDX and photograph some cool doors – but it was slopping outside and I was feeling melancholy so I just took another picture of my front door. I actually love to photograph doors. The following are some doors that caught my eye when I was traveling in Morocco. I love their doors!!
So this week I will finish Project 365! I have already begun working on the album that I will print of all the pictures. I’m excited to have finished the project (assuming I don’t give up in the next 4 days!) 🙄
Happy Monday friends!
