It is getting really close to the end of the year and that means my first Project 365 is almost complete! Every single day for the past 348 days I have taken a picture and posted it on instagram. Not a significant accomplishment in life, but I do enjoy setting goals and working towards them. This one has challenged me in several ways and frankly I’m thrilled to have made it this far. Some weeks have been more challenging than others but I really wanted to accomplish this goal!

There were two specific reasons why I chose to take on Project 365

1. Every photographer who talked about participating in Project 365 declared it improved their photography drastically

2. I loved the idea of journaling my year in this way.

Next week I will follow up with details on how I believe this project has helped me as a photographer

Last Friday was our 27th wedding anniversary so we decided to head into the big city to celebrate. With all the wonderful Christmas decorations there was plenty of {sparkle} to enjoy!

You can’t go anywhere without reminders that this is a {festive} time of year! We hiked the falls on Saturday (I think we were the only non tourists there!) Be sure to take some time to enjoy them!

We chopped down and put up our {tree} the day after Thanksgiving – then the boys drove off to college and we hadn’t decorated it! So we finally decorated it last night!
