Senior Conner

I have been struck many times by life’s little twists and turns…

I’m amused when I find myself interacting years and years later with people in an entirely different capacity than our original relationship. Particularly when I haven’t had much, if any, interaction with someone since I was a teenager and our paths cross as I am now a “grown- up” ๐Ÿ™„

This has happened to me as a teacher for sure. There have been times when I have looked around my classroom and noted a handful of students whose parents I went to school with. Given the fact that I was a bit of a goof off in high school ๐Ÿ˜‰ I’m certain that they would have never suspected the sports focused, boy crazed, easily distracted and entirely too chatty girl next to them would grow up to be their child’s history teacher!ย  ๐Ÿ˜†

This past week I had the opportunity to take the senior pictures of one of my college roommates. While this obviously isn’t the same, it is still a unique experience to me. Traci and I roomed together during the spring of my Sophomore year – at the very time a boy named Jeff proposed to me ๐Ÿ˜‰ ย Over the years we really didn’t keep in touch – only running into each other once in awhile.

She and I are now the mothers of two handsome young men! Her oldest will be graduation this spring. Conner has plans of pursuing software designing – whatever that means!ย  ๐Ÿ™„

Thank you Traci and Conner for asking me to be your senior photographer! It was my pleasure!

When I Grow Up

In high-school I had to write what I wanted to be {when I grow up} – I said “Photographer for National Geographic” – I wasn’t serious in my aspirations at that point. But I loved photography and I dreamed of travel so it seemed like the dream job! While I’m not working for NG (yet ๐Ÿ˜‰ ) I am so happy to have my dream job!ย  ๐Ÿ˜›
