I’m very excited to share my new studio space with you. I hope you can stop by this afternoon from 3-6. I’ve settled into my space and happily (finally) got light fixtures installed yesterday! So there is still some work to do but I’m up and running stop by and say Hi.  😆

During a photo session I try to stay very alert with my camera ready at all times. While there is plenty of posing during a session I do enjoy getting {candid} shots along the way. Often times it is those unguarded moments that are the most interesting photos

It was my turn to host book club this month. Book club means {yum}my food, fantastic conversation and most importantly a break from our usual hectic routines. I chose Brain on Fire a book written by Susannah Cahalan documenting her month of madness. Basically her brain gets an infection that completely over takes her personality her ability to write or speak along with frightening seizures. I found the book fascinating in a horrifying way.  It turns out she was eventually diagnosed with NMDA-receptor autoimmune encephalitis – which in very rough terms meant her body attacked her brain. What was horrifying about her story was the fact that her symptoms sounded more like someone with a mental breakdown and she proposes that there may be many people locked up in psych wards that may in fact have what she had and could be cured. She can’t remember most of the month so to fill in the blanks she uses notes from her family, doctors and nurses.  Anyway, if your interested in a somewhat medical read I would give it 4 out of 5 starts. 😉
