A Portrait

Family is a beautiful thing! One of the things I love about my job as a photographer is the ability to help preserve/capture the beauty of both individuals and families.
Especially the little ones! They grow up so fast! These three are my nieces and I fully intend to repeat this pose when they are teenagers. It will be so fun to have the two pictures side by side to see their growth over time. While I love landscape photography I really prefer {portrait} work. I enjoy the interaction with people. It is a joy to interact with people, help them relax and feel beautiful in front of my camera. Getting to do that outdoors in the beautiful NW is just the icing in the cake!
Waiting
211/365
I’ve been doing way too much waiting lately…
This week I had anticipated two big things happening in my business world.
First – my website would go live! That was supposed to happen on Tuesday – it finally happened late Thursday. When it finally did happen it didn’t go as I hoped it would. Oh well…
Second – I was supposed to get the keys to my new office space in downtown Battle Ground so I could nest and get ready for my first big event, First Friday, which is a week from today. It looks like that will not be happening. I’m disappointed and frustrated with the processes which I have no control over. It is frustrating that the world does not operate on my schedule…
My office space actually looks worse than it did 4 weeks ago when the decision was made to rent the space. It has now become a storage area. So I will continue to {wait} because I have no choice…
Here are some of the pictures {wait}ing to be displayed in my new office.
I also have an area rug, landscape pictures, a desk and a few other items {wait}ing to be placed in my new space. I’m so excited about nesting!
Its so stinking hot outside! I hope you all have cool places to retreat to during this heat! Have an awesome weekend! My wish for you is that there will be no waiting! 😉
