Hello Everyone,
It is time for an update. I have been a bit quiet with my photography as I have been recovering from both wrist and elbow surgery. I had Carpal Tunnel and Ulnar nerve surgery on June 25th. Both on my right side (yes, I’m right handed). Which has made this photographer pause for a few weeks.
The first couple of days the swelling was the worst part. Every time I went for a walk or rode my Peloton (one handed) My hand would triple in size! When I would look at it, I didn’t recognize it as my own hand! With the swelling came more pain, but honestly it wasn’t overly painful after the first day.
Thankfully, I have noticed improvement every single day. I am 3 weeks post surgery and happily I have regained much use of my hand (except for rock climbing, that will have to wait for a few more weeks).
I have really missed my photography! This week I picked up my camera for the first time in three weeks. Carefully, I tested my shutter finger and felt the weight of the camera in my hand. I believe I am ready to go!
This weekend I will be back behind my camera, happily at work. I begin with a family reunion (3rd year in a row with this beautiful family). Then a mini session with grandparents and their sweet grandkids. Finally, I get to end my day with a surprise sunset engagement session! I am so excited to be back to work!
