Happy Thursday Friends!

As I abruptly switch from vacation mode to “normal life” it’s taken me a minute to adjust. Right off the bat I had a Head shot session on the new waterfront in Vancouver. As I lifted my camera for the first shot I thought to myself “this is very different than photographing bears” LOL! But I am energized and excited about Graduations, head shots, engagement sessions, senior sessions and weddings! It will be a very busy month!
Professional Head Shots
Family – Cousins Shoot
I have had the opportunity to photograph this beautiful family many times throughout the years. It has been so fun to watch them grow up! Such a beautiful group of cousins! I loved the backgrounds we had to work with for this backyard session! This time of year always offers such beautiful backgrounds!
Graduation – Congratulations Class of 2021
My FB memories have been of my own son’s graduations. My oldest graduated from HS 8 years ago already! I remember all the feelings that come rushing at you as you realize your “little one” is about to leave the nest. It was only a few months after his graduation that I began my photography business. I love having the opportunity to help families document such an exciting time in their lives.
This Week – More Graduations and…
I have been putting in marathon editing sessions so I can deliver galleries quickly. Especially the graduation pictures. Every year a few families hire me to take extra pictures for them during graduation. I really enjoy doing this for them. That way mom (or whoever the typical family photographer is) can relax and enjoy the event. A bonus is that they can actually be in some of the pictures! I love getting the pictures back to them before the high of graduation wears off. This year they were delivered within 24 hours. All the print orders have been sent to my lab and will arrive early next week.
I also have an engagement session tonight in the Gorge that I’m looking forward to….and more graduation photos Friday.
Next Week – More Graduations and…
Jeff’s Grandmother “Grammy” turns 100 on Wed the 16th! I wish she was doing better to enjoy the celebration. This past month has been a very rough month for her. We will still be celebrating with cake! For those of you who know Grammy, she was placed on Hospice last month after a fall. She spent several days in the hospital and now she is back at her Adult Family Care home. We are thankful to have the added help of Hospice as we care for her the best we can. It seems her new medications are finally helping her with the pain but mentally she is no longer with us. This is heartbreaking for us and nothing she ever wanted. We continue to pray for peace and comfort for her.
Thanks for stopping by!
