My planner has beautiful quotes for each day.
Today this quote “Enough is a Feast” Proverb
Those words ring true in a season where I get frustrated with believing I don’t have “enough” which truly translates into – I want more than enough…
Being a business owner means every day I hope, pray and try to find more. Because without more my business will cease to exist – and that terrifies me. But if I were completely honest I would admit that this (the wanting of more) seeps into all aspects of my life. Honestly I already have more then enough. I needed those words today. A wonderful reminder to sit with and savor.
3 years ago I was struggling as a business owner when my husband lost his job. It was BLEAK to say the least. As the months passed by with no options and the finances dwindling I was spiraling into a dark and scary place. I knew I had a choice. To whine and complain and fret over the unanswered prayer. OR to remind myself on a daily basis what I did have to be thankful for. And as those months stretched on and on (1 year in total) we always had enough!!!
I began a habit then that I continue today. I write a list of what I have to be thankful for that day. Some days it can be challenging because I’m difficult and I want to grouch about what I don’t have. But there is ALWAYS something to be thankful for. It is such a good exercise for me!
