Last night hubby, Lucy and I headed east to visit our boys, Grandparents, Niece, Nephew and to cheer on some basketball players. Traveling with a puppy is a lot like traveling with a baby in terms of what you need to remember to bring and how many stops you have to make along the way. But we all arrived safely! Our first stop was the boys dorm where our oldest walked out to see us (little brother was too busy with college stuff we will see him today) Lucy promptly barked at him “stranger danger” but then she realized it was her long lost brother and was delighted to see him! So after a brief catch up with our boy and a rousing game of fetch we headed over to spend the night with Jeff’s sweet grandparents. Jeff’s Grandfather loves watching Lucy! It’s fun to watch his face light up as Lucy plays with her toys and runs around.
It’s gonna be a busy weekend of family and basketball!

{White on White} So last year for the first time I chose a word for the year. Something that would help me focus and move through the days that are discouraging. This years word is BELIEVE – of course that has multiple applications throughout my days. Believe in myself, believe what God says, believe there are better times ahead, believe you can do it, believe in the goodness of others, believe in the power of love (and chocolate 😉 ) When I’m discouraged I look at my word and it is a reminder to buck up! 😛
