I am truly thankful for the opportunity to be pursuing something that brings me so much joy! As I mentioned on Monday my first love is working with people. The change of seasons is always an awesome time to take family and senior pictures! Fall and Spring are my favorite and right now is prime time! My job is always extra special when I get to photograph a senior that I have known since they were little. Joella is one of those special seniors that are near and dear to my heart! Our families did a lot together as our kids grew up. She has truly grown up in a beautiful way. Smart, gorgeous and an amazing cook! I look forward to the day I sit down and order off her amazing dessert menu!

One of the things I miss the most about teaching are the kids! I absolutely love senior shoots for that reason! It is such an exciting time in their lives! They are full of hopes and dreams as they look forward anticipating their next steps. I strive to capture that youth, enthusiasm and quite confidence with my camera.

I’m sure there is a {cooking utensil} or two in the buildings there… 🙄

Yesterday I had a job which required taking pictures of the interior of a hospital wing up at the VA hospital in Portland. Once I was finished I was invited to go up on the roof and enjoy the view and WOW what a view it was! 😎  So this became the picture of the day. Not because it is a spectacular picture (its not – wrong time of day, wrong lens etc.) 🙄  But because I wasn’t inspired by {cooking utensils} and frankly I’ve been married for almost 27 years and most of my {cooking utensils} are that old… Anyone want to throw me a bridal shower? I also need sheets and towels  😆
