I need a weekend for my weekend!

Does anyone else feel like they need some time to recover from a busy, exhausting weekend? I do! We traveled to the east side of the state and stayed up late watching basketball games, got up early to walk a restless dog, took dog out many times for extra exercise and reassurance.  Slept on a bed much smaller, softer and lower than I’m used to. Ate pancakes twice in one day followed by haystacks and pie – because if Grammy says eat you do… 😯 But then for some reason you are hungry and before you know it you are eating a burger from Iceburg and devouring a shake… 🙄  telling yourself its ok because you have taken the dog on three walks that day… 😉

Yea it was a fun weekend but I seriously need to hit the reset button and get my life back on track…but I only have a few days to do it because Thursday I head to my first photography conference in Kentucky. I will be gone for 5 days so maybe I should hold off on that reset button…

Lucy traveled GREAT this weekend! She really did and even though I may have momentarily placed her up of adoption in the early hours on Saturday morning I really can’t complain. She is such a good pup and just rolls with whatever is happening. Even if a giant Easter Bunny shows up to chase her… 😆

My niece and her husband have a Goldendoodle named Axil – He is 9 months old and Lucy had never met him. It was a bit tense at first and he is the by far the biggest dog she has hung out with but they decided they were family so they would get along  😀  If you look real close you can see some {yellow} on Axil’s collar  😉

While I do whine and complain about the L O N G drive to WW it does have stunning scenery! We stopped in Cascade Locks on the way home to grab a couple of shots! Views like these are {open} year round and free to anyone who take the time to enjoy them! I love the NW!

Here are some words to chew on today

“When you face difficult times, know that challenges are not sent to destroy you. They’re sent to promote, increase and strengthen you.”  😀
