We chose our focus!

Hello!  😛 Happy Monday everyone! I hope all is well in your world! I will be honest, I’m struggling with staying positive! This time of year is always a challenge! Anyone else with me on that? But I know enough that what I chose to focus on will either help me through the gloomy times or make them worse. So I chose sunny, hopeful thoughts today!

Here’s a quote from Luci Swindoll’s book I Married Adventure Looking at Life Through the Lens of Possibility

“Whether adventure takes us to our own backyard or to a distant continent, the spirit of adventure is all about staying on the lookout–keeping our eyes and our hearts open and participating fully in the moment we’ve been given as a pure gift. We have a part to play, a song to sing. Each experience life serves up is an opportunity to savor a moment we will never taste again. I, for one, don’t want to miss a morsel.”

Let’s remember every day is gift (even the rainy ones!)  😉

Many of my pictures are taken at Lewisville Park. This is such a lovely park with many hidden treasures! Built during The Great Depression it has wonderful picnic shelters some with gorgeous stone fireplaces! Every season of the year yields new beauty. I always love the thick moss on the trees in the winter.

My Walls

I cannot believe we have lived in this house for 13 years! While I feel restless at times, there are other times when I cherish living in a space so full of memories. I considered taking pictures of the pictures on {my walls} but then I remembered about the marks on my boys walls marking their growth. They were only 5 and 8 when we moved in and moved out when they were men… 😥

Yesterday, it is rainy, drippy, wet and sloppy so the view {outside my window} looks like this. I converted it into B/W to add to the moodiness of it  😕  While I’m not excited about the forecast (more rain) I do know it will end!  😉

I hope you find some adventure in your week ahead! Thanks for stopping by!
