Happy Friday! I feel a bit like I have “survived” this week! It has been exciting and it isn’t over yet! This afternoon I have a wedding to shoot and then I shall breathe a big deep sign of relief…
I love {letters} and we have seen this prompt before I think…at least I photographed the letters Jeff wrote me while we were dating/engaged…
So I decided to go a different direction and photograph a book I have…
This is a super cool book from my favorite President, Theodore Roosevelt. It is a compilation of {letters} he wrote to his children…
I love the thought that this man who was so full of life (and himself) took the time to write such precious {letters} to his children, even including a sketch or two…
The {letters} are addressed using his knickname for each child – “Blessed Quenty-Quee” – “Blessed Archie-Kins” – “Darling Little Ethel” – “Blessed Ted” – “Darling Kermit” – He wrote {letters} to his 5 children from their earliest years – before they could read – until maturity. During wars, hunting trips, and while they were away at school he consistently wrote to them.

{Yellow} – This girl! I had one of my funnest shoots ever with this beauty! She is just a really great kid who will be graduating from 8th grade in just a few short weeks…
I scouted out some new locations in Portland, the weather was perfect and she was game for anything! – I was thankful that one of the pictures happened to have {yellow} in it so I could use it for this prompt!
