Soft

So I found it ironic that my photo prompt for Tuesday was {soft}…
I am not at home and I’m in a rather arid environment…as I walked around looking for {soft} all I saw were pokie items…

So I resorted to a picture I took last week back on the western {soft}er side of the State.

I’m pretty sure this “old man’s beard moss” isn’t {soft}…but it ‘looks’ {soft} so there it is.  It’s funny how some photo prompts are more challenging for me than others…
Early

The early bird really does get the worm…
Amazing how different light is {early} in the morning…
It is just spectacular!

With landscape photography there is a rule that you should shoot landscapes only during the hours previous/during sunrise and the hour or two before sunset…

These are called the “golden hours” in photography and the really are magical if you find yourself in the right place at the right time with the right equipment (easier said than done!)

I was actually excited about this prompt {early} – given my current location it was the perfect set-up for a sunrise shot.  The amazing weather and still water were bonuses!

This is a picture of the {top} of Mt. Washington…It is lurking behind the trees…
Big Lake where I have been spending the week is sandwiched between the lake and this gorgeous mountain.

Headed home tomorrow….
DREADING tomorrows prompt {selfie}… UGH…
