Hello from Kentucky/Ohio

I made it! I had a bit of a run-in with TSA when I brazenly tried to smuggle an elastic hairband (!!!!) in my pocket through security  🙄  I was pulled off to the side and given a detailed outline of just how exactly I was going to be “frisked” (groped) 😮 because of my blatant disregard for their security procedures – never mind I had taken my coat, boots, belt, watch off and taken my laptop out of the bag… I laughed at her explanation and told her I had been “groped” (abused) 😯 in Berlin at the airport one time for no reason at all and with no explanation from their TSA so I was sure I could handle it…

Other highlights of the trip

-Flights were on time

-I had an empty seat next to me on the way to Denver (I’m not the friendliest person on a plane – I want my space!)

-The Rocky Mountains were breath-taking to view from above! You can view my instagram photo here.

-When I dropped a full water bottle on the head of a passenger he forgave me  😳

-I met a guy (probably in his 60s) who told me I looked 38!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  😆

-My hotel is right on the river and is a short walk to Ohi0

-I met a police officer who told me Cincinnati is a safe town to walk around in

-I attended two seminar that were very inspiring!

I will admit that I am VERY intimidated by everyone here! But I’m fighting it.  I’m sure I am the least experienced and successf_ul photographer here but I’m determined to keep my chin up and LEARN be INSPIRED and not intimidated… One of the things I will have the opportunity to do is shoot with some of the big guns (photographers not actual guns  🙄 ) When I first heard about it I thought NO WAY – but then I realized when else will I have this opportunity?! So I put on my big girl pants and signed up – It happens tomorrow night…

I’m enjoying the conference but I miss my hubby and my Lucy  😥

The sun is sunny today and it is COLD but beautiful! I’m enjoying the architecture of the city. I love the old buildings and the beautiful bridge! This bridge was the model for the Brooklyn Bridge in NY.

Notice the year on the buildings – and I love the new modern buildings looming over it I think it makes for a cool image.

Yea – I don’t really have anything to say about my {self-portrait} except I still don’t like doing them…

I noticed something as I walked to Ohio – Which by the way, I believe that is the first time I have ever walked to a new state 😆  It seems to be a very {calm} city. Not a lot of traffic or honking or jack hammers. The sidewalks had people but they weren’t crowded by any means. It really did seem to be a very {calm} city. Did you know 4 US Presidents come from Ohio? William H. Taft being one of them. There is a museum about him that I hope to visit while I’m here. Deep down I will always be a nerdy history lover and I’m ok with that!  😉

I wanted to say THANK YOU for the extra shares I noticed this week! I appreciate it! And thank you to those who responded regarding how many states you’ve been to! Its always a thrill to realize people are visiting my blog! And Karen you have inspired me to get to all 50 of my states before I turn 50 and I think a trip to Alaska would be an awesome 50th birthday present!

Happy Friday!
