Happy Home

Sigh…I just sent my oldest back to college – well actually I didn’t send him he just packed up and said it was time for him to go… 😥  My younger one left yesterday morning because he has a job he had to get back to  😥 and now things are just soooo quiet!  😯

It’s funny the noise and chaos that can walk in and out of your door. Last week was rough – coming back from an awesome but sleep deprived 5 day trip to a husband who couldn’t get out of bed by himself let alone dress kept me feeling behind all week. Then Ty surprised us by walking in the door Thursday night! Followed by Josh Friday night and suddenly nothing else mattered. My family was together and I was content.

My oldest was here to tryout for a USL soccer team. Which is at the professional level. This is my boys dream – to get paid to play soccer! I had the opportunity to go and watch on his second day of tryouts. Of course I was given strict instructions to keep my distance and not embarrass him – as if!!  😉

So I would like to report I sat in the stands with a handful of other spectators (girlfriends, spouses and I suspect at least one other mother) and did not make a peep! I kept myself busy with my camera and my nerves and refrained from telling everyone around me “that’s my boy!!”

He said it was an amazing experience just to play on his beloved Timber’s field and to play with some really talented players. I’m so proud of him for having the courage to show up! But he did much more than just show up – he showed his talents and was amazing! So now he waits for an email that could change the course of his future. He doesn’t think he was the top one and they didn’t even post what positions they are scouting for so they may not even be looking for a keeper. We wait… 😐

Honestly just seeing him up and walking and going to work was Valentine enough for me but he managed to hobble himself into a store to buy me {red} flowers and a wonderfully cheesy balloon. What a sweetie!  He is my forever Valentine  😛  I’m happy to report that he is steadily improving. Still not 100% but headed in that direction.

It seemed like it was time for another Lucy picture. {free choice} She will be 6 months the end of February. We are having so much fun with her and she LOVES having the boys home! I’m happy to report she was THRILLED to see I had come home after abandoning her for 5 days. All is forgiven but she doesn’t leave my side much  😉

It {makes me happy} to see my kids following their dreams. Ty loves music and finds opportunities to perform whenever he can and Josh loves soccer. They have been created with these amazing talents and I sincerely hope they find ways to use them their entire lives.

Happily photography jobs are trickling in during this slow time. Last week I was able to squeeze in some professional head shots between raindrops and this week I will be taking some photographs for a realtor. I have also scheduled a couple of weddings and a family session. I’m thankful for my business and those who choose to book me. If you or someone you know is needing (yes it’s a need!) pictures give me a call and we can get you scheduled!

Thanks for stopping by!
