Monday/Peace

Monday

I’m blessed with being a really busy photographer this week! As you know Sunday started with hanging my pictures at Lava Java, then straight to an Easter shoot and then Monday I spent the afternoon with this beautiful family!!!!

I am beyond thrilled with my busy schedule and I’m looking forward to being the photographer for their wedding in June.  It is a beautiful thing when love finds its way…

As much as a love being a photographer it does come with a big ball of nerves in my gut…
I wonder if that will ever go away…but then I wonder if that would be a bad thing…

There is so much to remember when shooting!!! – First rule – never let them see you sweat while you are deciding – which lens to use, aperture for depth of field, lighting, shutter speed, watching the background so there aren’t trees growing out of people’s heads, getting everyone to look at the camera (including the dog) smiles, open eyes, hair in place, flattering, creative poses….and all quickly before the dog chases a butterfly, kids lose focus, a gust of wind blows hair out of place…

So needless to say I am a bundle of nerves until I have a chance to sit down and look through my pictures.  And then, when I find them, the gems among the closed eyes, turned heads, messy hair, poses that didn’t quite work, I breathe a huge sigh of relief and {peace} floods in…

I have two more shoots this week and I have sold my first photo at Lava Java! It is a very exciting week for this photographer!

I’m looking forward to the open house at Lava Java on Sunday from 11- 1 – hope to see you there!

I hope your week is going well – thanks for stopping by.
