Just the little ones {Fultz kiddos}

I truly have my dream job. Thank you to all who have supported me with words of encouragement, shares on facebook, purchasing pictures, booking sessions, recommendations, the list truly goes on and on. I am so completely blessed with your friendships and hope I can be that supportive and encouraging of those in my life. Sincerely – Thank You!!!!

One of the several reasons this is my dream job is the fact that I get to hang out with people for an hour or two and just have fun. My sincerest hope is that in the end you will have pictures that will show how beautiful you and your family are! We get to met in cool locations, wander around, sometimes we climb trees or scaffoldings, wade in lakes, rivers or creeks. We can be hanging out at the playground or just chilling on a bench. Whatever looks fun, that’s what we do. The beautiful people I get to hang with come in all sizes, ages, genders, personalities, etc. Which means some photo sessions take a bit more energy than others, especially if a 4 legged friend is added in for fun  😉

Last Friday I had the pleasure of taking pictures of big sister Miah (9.5) littler mister Lincoln (14 months) and furry friend Rocky (who honestly didn’t make it into many pictures). Every single photo session I learn something. Sometimes like Friday’s session I learn (relearn) that at 14 months you can not be expected to sit still unless it is entirely your idea. In fact everything should be your idea – and everyone else should just adapt and quickly before that idea changes… Miah was such a patient, loving big sister! I appreciated her so much!

When Dusti asked me to take these pictures she explained she wanted a shot of her kids and dog walking down a path with trees growing overhead. I knew Lewisville would be the perfect location. It never occurred to me that it might be difficult to get the shot. Two kids walking hand in hand doggy strolling beside them – peace of cake! 🙄

Such a peaceful shot  😉

The good news is I believe we got the picture we were hoping for! (minus Rocky). What you don’t see in this picture is momma running down the path (with Rocky on the leash) trying to stay out of my shot. She then dives behind a bush and calls to Lincoln so he will walk down the path in the direction we want. I am behind them directing Miah as I am running and stopping to take a picture then running again to stay with them.  😆  You also don’t see all the pictures that were deleted before this one! Of course I want the impression this was effortless  😉

Things got far more interesting when Mr. Lincoln discovered the art of rock throwing! I was also thankful for an excuse to stand in the river and shoot on a 90 degree day!

Such adorable kiddos! I’m so happy I had the opportunity to hang out with them at the park and capture their precious faces!

Remember

The art of photography is based on the desire to {remember} the moments, places, people in our lives. It is especially important when our little ones are growing and changing so quickly! The last several clients I have booked have stated their number one reason for wanting a family photo session is that their kids are leaving home and they don’t know when they will all be together again 😥 Yep, it is a heartbreaking reality these precious little ones are gonna grow up and leave us!

Strength

Last week when we were wandering around the rain forests of the Olympic Peninsula we were in awe of the massive trees! Can I just say it takes a bit to impressive a native North-westerner with trees! But oh my goodness their {strength} and power and sheer mass are so very impressive! Of course a picture cannot adequately capture it!

Look how tiny I look!  😆

I’m off prompt obviously! I just didn’t feel like taking a picture of my bed and then sharing it with everyone…Maybe because I hadn’t made my bed or it just wasn’t inspiring or I just wanted an excuse to share a picture that I took today.  😎  More about these siblings and their parents on Wednesday’s blog!

Have an awesome Monday!
