Weather

So I was hopeful for Thursday’s photo {weather}…
We were driving through the Gorge on our way to Walla Walla.  I have seen some pretty spectacular cloud formations and lighting in the Gorge so I figured I would have no problem finding the shot of the day…
Turns out it was the most boring, nondescript, solid white nothingness and I realized (fairly quickly) I needed a plan B…
I noticed the wind was blowing…
That trusty Gorge wind…always there…
I envisioned a way to “capture” the wind…I would hand the camera to my man and have him take a picture of me with my hair flying across my face…
So I convinced my ever patient hubby to pull off and we would get the picture taken…
I kid you not that there were white-caps on the river but we could only get a gentle breeze…not the look I was hoping for…
We traveled further and it just got calmer so I gave up on that plan…

So this is the official {weather} picture… even though there wasn’t any {weather} to be found…

Frame
In photography it can be a fun exercise to look for naturally occurring {frame}s when taking a picture.  It can be anything…people in a window…

It can be found in nature…

Looking for {frame}s can be fun…

I look through the world more and more through the {frame}s of my glasses…
We look outside through window {frame}s…
We decorate our walls with {frame}d images…
We often describe our way of thinking as a {frame} of mind…
I really wanted the time to wander with my camera to find {frame}s but today was more about cheering for one man-child and bonding with our other man-child..and that’s OK :).
